How SYMBIONT LEGAL Protects Attorney-Client Confidentiality & Trust Escrow
Legal practice management software cannot be built like generic business software. Attorneys operate under mandatory ethical duties where data exposure or escrow mishandling carries severe disciplinary penalties. Here is our exact security, data sovereignty, and ethical compliance architecture.
Why Is The Billing Tracker Free?
No Hidden Monetization • No AI Data HarvestingAttorneys rightfully distrust "free" tools because consumer tech usually monetizes user attention or harvests private data. Symbiont Legal does neither.
Symbiont operates an enterprise smart legal contract infrastructure and verified attorney review network. The Billing Tracker is our flagship utility provided free to modernize practice management and introduce firms to our platform.
We never feed your client names, billing rates, LEDES narrative descriptions, or escrow balances into any public or third-party AI training models. Your work product remains your exclusive property.
No tracking pixels, no ad brokers, and no data sales to litigation funders or third-party underwriters. Your firm’s caseload data is never cross-monetized.

Frequently Asked Questions
Direct answers for Managing Partners, General Counsel, and Ethics Committees.
Can visiting attorneys or other law firms see my matters?
No. By default, visitors only see the public Vance & Sterling LLP sample demo. When you click "Create Private Firm Vault", you are assigned a cryptographically unique workspace token. All subsequent API queries are hard-filtered to your token. No other firm or web crawler can access your data.
Can I export our firm's data at any time?
Yes. We guarantee complete data sovereignty. You can export invoices, LEDES billing lines, and three-way trust transaction ledgers at any time. There is zero vendor lock-in.
How do I access my private vault from another computer?
Simply copy your Private Vault Link using the "📋 Link" button in the top navigation bar. That URL contains your firm’s unique workspace key (e.g., ?ws=ws_...). Bookmark it in your browser or share it securely with authorized partners in your practice.
Does this comply with my specific State Bar?
Yes. State Bar Rule 1.15 in states like New York, California, Texas, Florida, and Delaware closely mirrors ABA Model Rules 1.6 and 1.15. Our system adheres strictly to the primary requirements: complete segregation of trust funds, prohibition of overdrafts, detailed individual ledger tracking, and zero commingling.
